It is important to purchase your puppy from a responsible breeder. Please do your research and do not be afraid to ask questions. Most reputable breeders will interview you and you should be interviewing them as well. If you do not receive the answers you are looking for, move on. This is a 10 to 15 year commitment, so take your time. It is not uncommon to wait up to 6 months or more for the right puppy, however, a quality dog is worth the wait. It is important to understand the costs involved with raising, training, and breeding healthy dogs is what drives the price of a well bred dog higher.
Alexanderhof puppies are offered the best start in life by being born from parents who are fully health screened. Our adult dogs are DNA tested for DM Degenerative Myelopathy, x-rayed for elbow and hip dysplasia, and cleared with OFA Orthopedic Foundation for Animals or German SV prior to breeding.
Our dogs and puppies live in our home, sleep in my bedroom, and have free run of the property. The parents and puppies are provided the best care including a premium diet and plenty of exercise. Our dogs are all fed a combination of top quality kibble, home cooked food, high quality moist food, and fresh bones.
When a litter of puppies are born in our home, they are not left unattended, we have a whelping area set up allowing the puppies to be monitored all day. Our pups are constantly handled, loved, and well socialized. Our puppies are also provided lots of exercise, including walks with us and the adult dogs.
Our focus looking forward is producing gorgeous puppies with excellent drive and temperament for a pet, conformation, or a working dog. We import from the best kennels throughout Europe. The parents of each of our litters are chosen and combined in attempt for continued improvement with each generation we breed. We are very focused on the solid structural physique and sound mental temperament of the breed. This is a working breed and should be able to move freely with speed and agility. Temperaments should be strong and sound, although easy to live with when given proper training and exercise.
Each and every puppy comes with a two year health guarantee against genetic health problems such as elbow and hip dysplasia.We will also give you information and advice to give you a good start with your new puppy. If for any reason you can't keep or take care of your dog, we will take the dog back and find another suitable home.

In the event that said puppy is not produced, your options are as follows:
1. Deposit is moved to next in line on opposite sex of same litter if available.
2. Deposit is moved to next in line on another open litter.
After the litter is born, we will attempt to contact you by the email address provided.
If after 3 attempts with no response, you will lose your spot in line for that litter.
We cannot guarantee that the puppy that you put your deposit on will be produced.
